No air hoses and electrical cords to connect and slow you down. With AffloVest’s 21st century technology it gives your doctor a new tool utilizing the latest in oscillation therapy, portability and mobility during use. The AffloVest features built-in oscillating modules that allow for freedom of movement to travel,go for a walk in the park, move around the house, or relax in front of the television. Patient treatment plans can be customized using the targeted motors for specific lung lobes or chest wall zones using different levels of intensity.
  • Rechargeable battery pack that can last up to 3+ hours on highest settings
  • Afflovest is easy to store and easy to carry; the Go Anywhere Travel Case makes it perfect for the respiratory patient who travels
  • Available in seven sizes (XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL); fits Chest circumference of 18” to 65”+
AffloVest is intended to be used to promote airway clearing and lung secretion mobilisation and may be prescribed by your doctor for certain respiratory and neuro-muscular diseases. Unlike other HFCWO vests, the AffloVest features built-in individual oscillating mechanical modules that allow for freedom of movement to travel, go for a walk in the park, move around the house, or relax in front of the television without the distractions of loud noise, restrictive hoses or heavy generators.
  • AffloVest has eight oscillating motors creating eight individual pressure wave forms, providing disruption in the lungs and mobilising more secretions
  • These individual motors allow Afflovest to target different areas of the lungs
  • Afflovest is completely postural independent and can be using sitting, standing or lying down
  • Three treatment programs allow for customised patient experience. Choose from Percussion, Vibration and Drainage
  • Choose from three treatment levels – Soft (5 Hz), Medium (13 Hz) and Intense (20 Hz)

Targeted treatment, increased patient use, improved lung function.

Doctors recommend and prescribe HFCWO vests for their effectiveness in providing airway clearance. The AffloVest has eight oscillating motors creating eight individual pressure wave forms, providing disruption in the lungs and mobilizing secretions, easing the body’s task of discharging harmful excess secretions. These individual motors allow AffloVest to target different areas of the lungs. The AffloVest offers three distinctly different modes of treatment that can each be set at one of three intensities, for a total of nine possible variations of oscillation treatment. The ability to tailor treatment to a patient’s particular needs coupled with ease of use contributes greatly to the AffloVest’s effectiveness and increased frequency of use. This can lead to improved lung function as shown in multiple clinician papers.* The AffloVest is a physician prescribed oscillation treatment device. Respiratory patients should consult their physician to determine how AffloVest can help.

Frequently Asked Questions about Afflovest

What is the difference between HFCWO and HFCC? HFCWO (high frequency chest wall oscillation) and HFCC (high frequency chest compression) are analogous terms which describe airway clearance treatment. Are the treatments uncomfortable or painful? No, not at all. The AffloVest produces a series of oscillations to the body’s chest wall, but to the patient it feels like vibrations. How can a patient acquire an Afflovest? AffloVest requires a prescription from a physician and is now available in Australia. For more information, call our oxygen specialist at 1300 688 388 Can I travel with my Afflovest Yes. The AffloVest is the first truly portable, battery operated, fully mobile during use, High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation (HFCWO) vest, the AffloVest does not require an electrical outlet for treatments. AffloVest incorporates built-in individual oscillators that allow the user to experience treatments without a loud, bulky generator unit

Guidelines Based on Body Measurement

Have the patient remove any outerwear like a sweater or jacket and have them stand straight with arms at their side. The patient should not inhale to overly expand their chest, but be in a natural state. Using a tailor’s or sewing tape, take the chest/bust measurement under the arms and across the largest part of the chest, and do the same around the largest part of the abdomen. Pull the measuring tape around without stretching or tightening the tape, a relaxed measurement. Take the chest/bust and abdomen measurements with the patient’s arms at their side (not with their arms up or outwards, see drawing below). Use the larger of the two measurements to determine correct size. If there is a greater than 12” (30 cm) difference between the chest/bust and abdomen, please contact IBC for sizing determination assitance.
